2014年9月15，山西PECC与省商务厅、省台办共同组织山西开发区系统、台办系统、企业家出席在台湾举办的第三届晋台经贸交流恳谈会。会议期间晋中北部新城管委会与台湾太平洋建设集团进行投资晋中商业综合体项目的洽谈，拟投资60亿元人民币，并于10月9日正式签订投资合作协议。
